I'm starting to realize that my inbox is a pretty busy place!
- Long time writer Diane Germaine will be presenting her choreography in the 2009 "Choreographers without Companies" performance at the Aronoff Center. The event is sponsored by Cincinnati's Contemporary Dance Theater and will be held June 12th and 13th. CLICK HERE for more details.
- Words In Bloom: Please plan to attend and extend an invitation to women friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues to hear what we’ve been writing. The spring quarter Read-around will take place on Monday evening June 1st from 7:00-9:30 p.m.
And on Tuesday morning, June 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served along with our delicious stories!

- WOMEN’S POETRY AND PERFORMANCE RETREAT: Hope Springs Institute in Peebles, Ohio
Hope Springs Institute is hosting “The First Annual Women’s Poetry and Performance Retreat”
July 16-19. The cost for the event is $350, which includes room, board, and supplies. All participating women will be published in an anthology.
The mission of the First Annual Women's Poetry and Performance Retreat is to empower women writers of poetry from all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, class, age, sexual orientation, styles, and levels of writing by providing a safe space and quality faculty to aid in their growth as writers and performers. We desire to create a strong intergenerational, cultural, and difference appreciating community of women writers, focusing on self-healing, community healing, and the use of art as a means of storytelling, social activism, change, and service.
